- We collect what you tell us about your work, your email, and how you use the Service.
- We use it for one purpose: to connect you with other members and alert you to opportunities that fit.
- Nothing you share is public. We introduce you to another member only when both of you say yes.
- We share data with a small set of providers that run the Service (email, payments, security, automated analysis), never with data brokers, and we do not sell your data.
- You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your information at info@4real.com.

1. Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how 4REAL (“4REAL,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the 4REAL membership community and related services (the “Service”). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join and build your profile, we collect what you choose to share: your name, email address, the organization or project you work on, your role, what you offer and need, cause areas, geography, eligibility details, links and social profiles, and anything you tell your assistant in the Service.
Waitlist information. If you request a spot on the waitlist, we collect the name, email, and any project or link you submit, and use it only to consider and contact you about membership.
Information we generate. We create briefs, match suggestions, and notes about your preferences (for example, when you mark an item as a good fit) to improve what we surface for you.
Information collected automatically. We keep basic technical and usage data needed to run and secure the Service, such as your session, approximate request information, and log data.
3. How we use information
We use your information to: operate your membership and sign you in; build your briefs and surface funding, events, and opportunities that may fit; suggest introductions with complementary members; communicate with you about the Service; protect the Service and its members from abuse; and comply with law. We do not use your information to build public profiles, and we do not sell it.
4. Automated processing
We use automated tools, including third-party AI providers, to analyze opportunities and profiles and to generate briefs and match suggestions. These are aids, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and human curation remains part of the process. You can adjust what your assistant looks for at any time, and you can contact us with questions about automated processing.
5. When we share information
With other members, only on double opt-in. We do not reveal your identity or contact details to another member unless both of you accept an introduction. When you do, limited profile information you chose to share is shown so you can connect.
With service providers. We share information with vendors that run the Service on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it, such as: email delivery, payment processing, hosting and database, security and bot protection, and AI analysis. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of members, the public, or 4REAL.
Business changes. If the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. International transfers
4REAL serves a global community, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your membership is active and as needed to provide the Service. If your membership is deactivated, we retain limited information as needed to keep your email address reserved, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion as described below.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Members can view and update much of their information directly in the Service by talking to their assistant. For any request, contact info@4real.com, and we will respond as required by applicable law, including the GDPR and Brazil's LGPD where they apply. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Cookies and sessions
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in after you use a sign-in link. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data for advertising. Bot-protection on our forms may set limited technical cookies to tell humans from automated abuse.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using passwordless sign-in and storing sign-in and session tokens only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or a notice in the Service, and we will update the version and effective date above.
